Margaret Amato is a certified member of Dance Masters of America, British
Associations Teachers of Dance
, International Academy of Adjudicators and the Ontario Gymnastics Federation. She is a National Teachers Examiner in Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Acrobatics, and Master Teacher of Acrobatics and has completed her USA Safety Certification for Acrobatic Dance. She has been President, Vice President, and Secretary for DMA Chapter 43 and is currently an active member of Chapter 38. Margaret completed 4 years at the University of Buffalo Teachers Training Program in New York State and has trained at some of the finest institutions across North America. Ms. Amato’s choreography has been recognized and rewarded internationally, she founded and co-owned a successful dance studio and has been on faculty at York University. She has taught at studios across Ontario and Quebec, at workshops across North America and has inspired
young dancers for more than 20 years. Her students have gone on to win
numerous awards across North America and many are now dancing
professionally. She also choreographed the production of “GREASE” and “TOM SAWYER” with a local theatre troupe in Toronto.
Margaret continues her in-class training with both recreational and competitive students ranging from beginners to Provincial Level Gymnasts.
Margaret’s passion for dance motivates her to continue her dance education and share it!
